Dr. Gürsoy, in his statement; "I have been working in the field of artificial heart for 12 years. I was honored to be on the cover of a world-famous magazine like Forbes in Germany. I gave information about the heart hospital we will establish in Germany. I gave information about these latest studies in Europe. Heart failure is a big problem. Organ donation is low. Therefore, full artificial heart research should be given importance and more budget should be allocated. I have a lot of experience. Both on humans and animals. The fully artificial heart is especially important for women." she said.

Dr. Who is Dilek Gürsoy?

Dilek Gürsoy is a Turkish-German heart surgeon. She became the first female surgeon in Europe to implant an artificial heart.

She was born in Neuss in 1976 to a mother and father who immigrated to Germany to work. She was educated at the Martin-Luther-Grundschule for primary school and then completed high school at the Quirinus-Gymnasium in Neuss. She was the first in her family to attend college, where she focused on cardiovascular surgery.

After graduating from the University of Dusseldorf, she worked as an assistant physician, specialist and assistant medical director.

Gürsoy, who was awarded the Victress Award, one of the most prestigious awards in Germany, and the German Medicine Award in 2019, was also named Doctor of the Year.
