The World Health Organization (WHO) has announced the current number of Monkeypox cases. In a statement, WHO stated that the number of cases increased by 6.6 percent compared to October 5, and 4 thousand 537 new cases were detected.

It has been emphasized that a total of 73 thousand 437 cases have been reported from 109 countries around the world so far, and 29 people have died due to virus-related diseases.

WHO stated that since the beginning of the epidemic, the number of cases has increased in the summer months, but since the autumn, the number of cases has decreased.

The Americas and the Continent of Europe are at Risk

According to the continental comparison figures of Monkeypox cases, the most cases were reported in North and South America with 47 thousand 215. In the European Continent, 25,056 cases were reported.

In other continents, the number of cases remained below 1000.
