The baby girl, who was born on October 10 in a private hospital in the state of Jarkand, India, became the source of an event that will go down in the history of medicine.

The abnormal swelling in the belly of the girl who was born healthy attracted the attention of her family and doctors. The baby was taken to Rani Children's Hospital and Research Center with the complaint of swelling in the abdomen about 3 weeks after birth.

Doctor Mohammed Imran, who first examined the baby in the hospital, thought that the cause of the tumor was the swelling in the child's abdomen. However, when the doctors completed the examinations, they discovered that the baby was born with 8 embryos in its womb.

Medical Name: Fetus-in-Fetu (FIF)

The special condition, known medically as Fetus-in-fetu (FIF), is an anomaly mostly experienced in twin pregnancies.

In this very rare case, one of the fetuses develops in the other's body and loses its viability. The condition is mostly detected with swelling and mass in the abdomen of the newborn as in the infant in India.

The British Dailymail newspaper also noted that the situation in question is extremely rare and wrote that only 200 cases have been recorded so far.
