Former U.S. President Donald Trump is on trial as part of a lawsuit filed against him for paying adult film actress Stormy Daniels for a hush share during the 2016 Presidential election. From Trump Tower, where he spent the night, Trump first arrived at the Manhattan District Attorney's Office, located in the same building as the Manhattan Criminal Court.
"We're going to Lower Manhattan, to the Courthouse. It looks so surreal. Wow, they're going to arrest me. I can't believe this is happening in America," Trump tweeted.
ARREST ACCORDING TO LEGAL PROCEDURE
Trump, who was detained by the police for legal action at the Manhattan District Attorney's Office, was taken to the courtroom after fingerprinting. Trump denied all 34 charges after hearing the charges against him at the hearing.
There were frequent verbal and physical arguments between Trump opponents and supporters in the courtroom.
