A postcard sent to the Netherlands 42 years ago has just arrived. The Dutch Post Office announced that it is investigating why the postcard could not be delivered to the recipient even though the address is correct.

Ludwina Verhoevan, 64, who was sent a postcard in the Netherlands, says her brother-in-law, whose signature was in the mail, died a few years ago, and that it's "very special" that the card has now surfaced.

Dutch Post said it was investigating why the postcard could not be delivered to the recipient even though the address was correct.

According to the news in the Dutch media; The postcard was mailed in 1980 from a holiday camp near the city of Breda to Ludwina Verhoeven, who lives in the town of Nieuw-Vennep, near The Hague.

Ludwina Verhoeven's sisters Veronica and Uncle Jan sent a postcard with 5 different images from the holiday camp. However, Ludwina Verhoevan was never aware of the existence of the card. Until last week, the Roosendaal postal sorting center near Breda sent the card back to the address it was sent to, saying "no recipient found".

While the employees of the holiday camp, whose name was changed and renewed, were stunned by the card returned after 42 years, they shared the issue with the media. As a result of the research, it was determined that the address sent was correct and that Ludwina Verhoeven still lives in the same house.

The Dutch woman received the postcard 42 years late Friday. Verhoeven states that his brother-in-law, whose signature is on the card, died a few years ago and that he thought it was a very special surprise.
