The Disaster Management Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications of Japan announced that 5 people lost their lives in the 1-week period until August 7 due to the extreme heat.

In this process, 7 thousand 218 people, 3 thousand 982 of whom are over 65 years old, were hospitalized due to symptoms related to heat stroke. It was announced that 2 thousand 615 people who applied to the health institution were between the ages of 18-65.

While the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) announced that extreme heat will continue until next week, thermometers in Saitama province near the capital Tokyo showed 38 degrees.
