Flood Disaster in the Philippines: 11 Dead, 19 Missing

Heavy rainfall in the Philippines caused flooding. It was reported that 11 people died due to the flood and 19 people were reported as missing.

Heavy rains caused flooding in the Philippines. In a statement made by the civil defense teams, it was stated that 11 people lost their lives and 19 people were missing as a result of heavy rains that continued for a week in the southern and eastern regions of the country.

The statement also stated that 45,700 people were evacuated due to the flooding. Villages and highways were flooded and power lines were damaged as a result of the flooding of streams in Misamis Occidental province.

While it was learned that the coast guard teams rescued dozens of people trapped in the flood, it was learned that the flood waters in the city of Gingoog exceeded the waist level.
