A shooting has taken place at a prison in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico.

10 guards and 4 prisoners lost their lives as a result of armed attackers who came to the prison with armored vehicles.

In the statement made by the Chihuahua Prosecution Office, it was stated that at least 24 inmates escaped from the prison in the attack.

The situation in the prison was brought under control by the security forces. An investigation into the incident has been initiated.
