King of Jordan II. Princess Iman, 27, the eldest daughter of Abdullah, married 29-year-old Greek and Venezuelan businessman Jameel Alexander Thermiotis.
The ceremony, held at Beitul Jordan Palace in Amman on Sunday, was attended by members of the royal and Thermiotis family, as well as local and foreign guests. After the wedding ceremony, the Quran was read in the ceremony broadcast live on state television.
Born to a Greek family in Caracas, Venezuela, Thermiotis became engaged to Princess Iman last summer. A business graduate, Thermiotis works in finance in New York.
According to the claim in the Greek press, Thermiotis converted to Islam in order to marry Princess Iman, the daughter of King Abdullah of Jordan, and took the name 'Jameel.'
