Big move for underage users from TikTok! They will be limited...

TikTok, the world's most used smartphone application, will impose a screen time limit of 60 minutes per day for all underage users.

TikTok announced that it will impose a screen time limit of 60 minutes per day for all users under the age of 18. If a teen exceeds the 60-minute limit, they will be asked to enter a password to continue watching the video.

Users must be at least 13 years old to open a TikTok account. Users experiencing TikTok for Young Users will require a parent to enter a password to continue watching videos after the daily automatic limit is reached. This password set by the parent and entered into the application will only activate an additional 30 minutes of viewing time.

"Research shows that being aware of how we spend our time can also help us know more about the decisions we make," said Cormac Keenan, TikTok's head of security.
